Shakti is a radical force for change, for freedom without boundaries; it is the vital flow of living love itself. Surrendering to this primal love allows you to experience the love that creates all life. And this love is vital for men and women to reclaim. To stand up and have full confidence in who you are, and what you instinctively and passionately feel, means that the whole world can change in a moment.
— Padma Prakasha
Shakti, meaning sacred force or empowerment, is the primordial cosmic energy
and represents the dynamic forces that move through the entire universe.
Shakti is the personification or concept of divine feminine creative power,
sometimes referred to as “Great Divine Mother”.
On the earthly plane Shakti most actively manifests through female embodiment and creativity.
SHAKTI RISING SISTERHOOD
An Invitation to Come Together in Circle
It is time my sisters for us to rise up as the world needs us now more than ever. We are needed in our fullest potential. Let us join together and create a reality that reflects the qualities of the divine feminine, that for too long have been oppressed and degraded. We, as women embodying Shakti, have the power in our hands to step into that which we know deep in our core is possible. Yet, we do not have to do it alone!
The sacred force of the feminine amplifies in circle. We are meant to live in communities that allow us to share our gifts and support our personal evolution. The circle is the symbol of the feminine and when we actually sit in circle, whatever we are consciously creating gains greater momentum. What is impossible alone, becomes possible together through the strength of sisterhood. Let’s empower each other by remembering the treasure of women’s wisdom.
Invocation of the Goddess is what women have been doing since the beginning of time. Through ceremony and ritual using ancient methods like chanting, song, visualization and elemental magic; women have been able to part the veils and invite divine energy into this earthly realm and their own body temples.
This power was threatening for the patriarchal regime; as it was something they could not control. Women who were practicing these sacred methods were systematically burnt alive. I hesitate to write those words, but they are the harsh truth. They were sisters who like us, honored the cycles of the moon, who were visionaries, who were healers, who were awake to their sexual power and unafraid to celebrate it. Let’s honor them, our ancestors, those brave witches. Let’s honor them by rising up from the ashes to take up this sacred work once again!
We must move beyond the terror that these cruelties created in our collective field and unite for the sake of our children, mother Gaia and all those who need us to come back to our roles as protectors of the earth, healers and priestesses. Are you ready to heed that innate calling that comes from our wombs, that need to create something authentic and beautiful? We can transform our world by starting with ourselves and then allowing that love to spread out, as we cultivate a reality that is based on the qualities of the divine feminine. It starts by us joining together as we did once long ago.
Monthly Virtual Circle and New Moon Ritual
Shakti Rising Sisterhood will meet once a month on the new moon (pratipat) to plant seeds of intention and purpose. We will stay in touch during the month as the moon increases to nourish that which we wish to create.
We will focus on a theme to facilitate transformation. At the same time we will have open space for spontaneity, being receptive to that which needs to be expressed.
I will give some inspiration and guidance on our topic, proceeding into ritual that may include working with the 5 elements, meditation and guided visualization. Then we will open up to discussion to share our experience and realizations.
